You gain energy from collaborating within an international network and move effortlessly between strategy and business development. You know how to keep stakeholders actively involved. You do not enjoy standard work: every day is different and requires a fresh perspective and flexibility. Your English is excellent, and you are experienced in communicating with both public and private partners.
As Project Manager New Business at Port of Amsterdam International, you will play a central role in the energy transition. You will focus on strategic projects aimed at imports within the renewable energy portfolio (hydrogen, bio- and synthetic fuels) and actively contribute to the development of Green Energy Port Amsterdam: a port where renewable energy, circular industry, and low-emission logistics lead the way.
Koen Overtoom, CEO of Port of Amsterdam, puts it this way: "If the transition can take shape anywhere, it is in the Port of Amsterdam. One of our objectives is to stimulate the construction of Green Energy Port Amsterdam through the import and transit of renewable liquids. By 2028, approximately three-quarters of the Port Authority's total turnover will come from non-fossil activities. We also strengthen our position as a reliable and predictable port with a high level of safety and invest in (energy) port infrastructure."
In this position, you will be responsible for initiating new collaborations and maintaining and deepening existing relationships. You will represent the Port of Amsterdam in an international context, smoothly navigating diverse interests and highlighting the strength and potential of our port. You will be actively involved in joint ventures in regions such as the Middle East, Africa, India, and South America, and contribute to strengthening our international position.
You know how to analyze complex issues and translate them into strategic objectives and clear propositions. Together with international chain partners, you will work on building new import chains for hydrogen and its derivatives, with a focus on the import aspect.
We are looking for someone who naturally connects with others and can engage at a strategic level with (future) chain partners. Given the international nature of the role, an excellent command of the English language at C1/C2 level (or native proficiency) is essential. You have a broad interest in the port sector, and particularly in new business and the development of the renewable energy cluster.
This vacancy will close once a sufficient number of suitable candidates are identified.
